New way to light your footwells with LED's!
Well DDM was selling 30 LED Angel eyes for a dollar so i grabbed a set to "expirment" with...well using two of the four I came out with LED footwells! I tapped into existing wires and pulled the old bulbs. It look really good, gives lots of light which has a really wide spread, no light source can be seen unless ur looking right up at em. what do ya think? Im odering some bulbs for the ones in the ceiling soon.
![]() ![]() this one I covered the regualr bulb up top. ![]() ![]() and a pic of my sub box I happened to finish today.

1. I pulled out lenses and pulled out the bulbs, use a flat head screw driver to pop out lenses.
2. Wrap white (pos) wire to the farthest post from the connector. Black (ground) to the closest post to the connector, I used a little bit of sodder to hold tight, but u may get by with out it. 3. Pull wire through side of lenses, their not very thick and lense will still close. 4. Mounting, I used 3M double sides trim adhesive to mount them to the underside of footwell. It so easy! pics in a sec...

what's the cheapest place you can get them? I always wanted more light in my trunk and this could be a great way to get it

Im not to sure where to ge them for cheap, but i forgot to mention, there is little tabs that stick out, you have to break them off in order for them to sit flush, dosnt effect the rest of the housing.
I'd be willing to trade my other two angel eyes, if someone has a set of any alum. pedals (auto) or anything else that could be useful lol.

I took a different approach to getting more light to my actual cabin. Although the lighting in your pictures looks clean, the look of the Angel Eye ring just sitting there makes me feel like its a little tacky - no offense though; just my opinion. I just purchased some cheap LEDs that are direct replacement, and I also installed hidden white CCFL tubes for each footwell in the entire car [making a total of 4] - so it kind of illuminates the entire floor. The CCFLs are additional lighting if required and are directly controlled by a switch in my driver glove box, seen here:
