i always call first. In this day in age everyone texts, calling requires more balls, means more, and it is easier for both of you to get a feel for each others personalities.

I always like calling first, I think texting is lame. But I recently had a conversation with one of my lady friends and she said that texting first was the way to go. I think one really needs to make their own judgement call on this and do what they feel most comfortable with.
