Yea....that or the only other option is to drill a tiny hole in the hood shocks and drain out the fluid/pressure.

really though, here's what I use:

To keep the top clean and keep water beading off of it:
http://www.detailedimage.com/303-M2/...ric-Guard-P14/

I clean dirt/spotted areas with the 303 Cleaner and Spot Remover. I would also protect it with the 303 Aerospace Protectant to prevent UV fading, etc. after.

So:

Cleaner and Spot Remover
High Tech Fabric Guard
Aerospace Protectant

In that order?

I never found/bought the aerospace protectant, so I just do the cleaner/spot remover IF I have spots like bird crap or something, then I do the fabric guard. But normally, the top is clean, and it still beads water from my last application of guard, then I just wash like I do the rest of the car.

Okay great. I am detailing a M3 Conv. this weekend and need to apply something on the soft top. Hopefully I can get the fabric guard by Saturday. I have the Aerospace Protectant.

No, my car isn't a M3, just a 330ci with M3 front bumper. But glad to hear you're detailing it!
