I get a noticeably thump noise when shifting into reverse, more noticeable when facing downhill. Not sure if that's it, or if that's just the sound of the transmission. I'm too used to FWD

Probably worth it to also swap out the bump stops with the beating they take...how about spring pads?

Subframe/diff will sound like a dull knock on the chassis coming from the rear. Plenty of other things can clunk, too, though.

Ok, I'll just attribute it to the transmission releasing pressure from the park pin. The shopping cart has already exceeded my $3.00 anyway

Nah, the pads should still be good (unless your car is one of the ones that breaks things that other E46s don't break).

I like my m-tech 2, but I'm going to half to modify it quite a bit to get the arches to line up. Soooo easy to go to an M3 bumper. :/

Yeah, I was thinking about the moldings. I would paint the rest of the moldings and the trunk handle the way coupes have them.
