My Ride: A08 ZSP ZPP SULEV
brakes faded on me again taking back roads home. Bad accident on 17.

They lose all initial bite and lose their progressiveness. They smell too. Has anyone done a brake dust shield mod like the 135i guys do?

I checked how much pad material I had left when I got home and there's still plenty.

No pedal sponginess, brake fluid was flushed a year and a half ago so it's getting close to being due.

I was in 3rd most of the way. It seems like its happening more frequently as the pads age. The squealing has stopped though

They make two horizontal cuts to the brake shield and bend a portion of it back to channel more air onto the back of the rotor. A lot of guys claim that it helps. I'll see if I can find a pic.
