Ok, sends easy enough. I'll give a call tomorrow.

There was actually an interview. I showed off some of my pieces of my robots, like a machined chunk of chromoly and a welded titanium sheet, along with various CAD and CAM drawings. I got in a full interview with the engineer who was doing the interviews. The owner of the place wanted to do some questioning but was late and had a meeting schedule for like 3 minutes after he arrived.

Maybe it's a good thing. Chatting with pretty, friendly engineering girl who was the daughter of the owner was a lot more enjoyable than fast talking, srs bsns, owner.

Now you're going to look picky and rude when you poke at your peas with a fork.

Generally, email is fine - just depends how old and crusty the company is. Calling is good. I usually will use the phone call as the "next stage" i.e. send an email, concise, but reiterating interest in the position and why I'm the best candidate blah blah. For me, it's a bit easier to brag subtly in written form first, then follow up periodically via phone just to remind them I'm interested.
