It was Rick's suggestion if you're asking where I got the recommendation. Amazon if you're asking where I got it from. We paired it with a Motorola SurfBoard DocSis 3.0 modem with a Cat-7 cable in between. It's been rock solid ever since Comcast got their ducks in a row.

Agreed, after years of using a Netgear that died a slow death, I picked up a Linksys/Cisco that I tried/failed to load dd wrt...didn't brick it, but didn't get it loaded, so I picked up a $50.00 Asus and it's been rock solid.

We've had issues with anything Netgear we've ever owned. We used to have a router that would constantly change its own settings, we had network adapters that would die, and now we have a network adaptor for our satellite receiver that refuses to connect.
