Anyone know the best way to search for a differential? I want to swap my 3.38 for either:

- The 3.23 from 325xi (manual trans)
or
- The 3.15 from 325i/ci (manual trans)

I tried going to pick n pull website, car-part.com, and craigslist.... no luck.

pick and pull doesnt have anything as new as 325s. The premier yards are starting to get 323s and 328 e46, but no 325/330s yet

Almost $2k for the Kaaz

The 3.38 in my car at the moment is not the stock one. My stock diff was a 3.07.

Right now, when cruising at 80-85 on the freeway, I'm at over 4k rpm.
When I go WOT from a stop light, 1st gear is very, very short, so with the SC, it's like I won't have a first gear at all except to scoot around parking lots.

So rather going back down to the 3.07, I thought I'd go down to the 3.23 or 3.15.

why dont you try cruising at a slower, perhaps more legal speed
