Technically, yes, more or less; though I'd probably shoot for a 2009-2010.

Unfortunately, newer BMW models have essentially gone the way of MB in terms of serviceability, and don't have anything that would compete head-on with the E63 specs.

but it's a Merc

and that's why you should hold on to the e46. It's still serviceable, pretty, awesome, and fun

CTS-V or wagon version would be freaking awesome

When it first came out I thought it looked strange but now I think it looks amazing! Although I would be way to tempted to bring it up to World Challenge series spec
