back from car werkz at Drew's. the whole front subframe, steering rack, control arms, etc. is dropped and the oil pan is out. No sludge Everything is going smoothly so far.

She's sleeping in jack stands tonight

Lol what? It was my dads bday yesterday so we couldn't work late so we just did cooling system work. Today was the heavy lifting. Everything is disassembled and ready for reassembly tomorrow.

The cooling system was actually done a few months ago but my fan clutch was leaking oil and (comparing it to the new one) not locking up like it should. The new thermostat was leaking from the electrical connector so i got a replacement under warranty.

Oil pan gasket was leaking - that's what we're working on now but the whole front subframe needs to be dropped to get the oil pan out.

The pics.

Surprising how much oil stays in the bottom of the pan despite draining the oil. There was probably 1/4-1/2 a liter.

Isn't that why you drain while on a ramp? Since the drain plug is towards the back?
