Srsly, we had not even covered it in class, but after reading the book it made sense.
Yeah, I read one section, tried to do the problems, guessed at them and not sure if right, went on to next section, still didn't make sense. Went back to previous section and tried again, still nothing...

I'm having that same problem have having a hard time wrapping my head around it since there is nothing I can relate or compare it to. It's just like pure math with no relation to the real world.

I'm good for the time being. I've been trying not to mention anything that has a letter H, P, and an F in it.

Yep, it's very theoretical. It actually made a whole lot more sense a week or two later when we started doing the same stuff in Physics (waves, E/M) and an ECE class.

Well, yeah, the flux part and all that makes some sense from physics. But with the vector fields, I just can't get it to relate to anything, and the book doesn't want to relate it to anything physical either.

I've been trying to relate some of the fields to gravity and the vectors to force, distance, and work, but even that's a stretch with how my book is setting things up. Also I'm having a hard time keeping track of what's of what little f, big F, a vector field, the gradient, F1 and F2 are, etc...

Gravity and flowing water are two good visualizations.
