Because as the chassis flexes, the seals rub against the surface they seal with and if they're dry or whatever, they'll creak. Trust me, it happens and it's plenty annoying lol.

I believe you that you're hearing something, real or not. I just never heard such a thing in my car and I think it's pretty hard to say what a good solution is since that's an unusual problem.
