OMG, My car broke traction...
![]() In other news, I put my key in the ignition last night, turned and instead of starting it decided to completely shut everything off. Waited a few minutes, it would reset (i knew because the interior lights would turn back on when I opened the door. Try again, key in the ignition, and shut off. Went through this song and dance for about 20 mins before i started digging into **** and realized it was a loost positive connection on the battery.

![]() Anyone had any luck with replacing the batery in an e46 key? I found out it's hard to be a gentleman and open the door for your lady if you have to run to the otherside of the car, unlock it, then run back to open the door, then back around to get in yourself... aka, not so rico suave when your car is a huge piece of **** and doesn't always start and forgets it's powersteering fluid in your driveway and doesn't want to take off it's belts when you ask, or can't roll down the window to give the overpriced ($15) to the parking attendent so you can park in LA, or when you're secretely praying that your coolant system hasn't COMPLETELY failed yet, or how about that time the fan in the footwell in the drivers side started squealing and you said you didn't know what that noise was but you knew exactly where to kick it to make it stop, or there's also the warning light that won't go off on the dash even though you've done the service but don't have the stupid friggin reset tool to turn it off b/c it's the one that bmw decided not to let you reset yourself, or the loose connections on the tail lights so you have to go to an aftermarket solution like the eagle eye led's but those die after a few years so you're almost tempted to pick up a spare set, and while you're picking up spares you might as well get a full set of window regulators and then you remember how lucky you are because that door seal on the passenger side isn't leaking this week even though it's raining which is strange but awesome, only to remember that your mirror is delaminating or something because now it's got a poo spon on it, which is fine because you're the only one that notices it unlike the swoop on the rain gutter that has fallen off on each side because the stupid ****ing clips are broken and bmw being the mighty power that they are high up on their throne won't let you buy the stupid little clips, noooooo, you have to buy the entire assyembly at 300/side. 300 for a friggin rain gutter clip, **** it, it's california and it doesn't rain that often except for this week and next and if it's anything like the heat wave it'll still be raining in august and we'll be waiting for summer to start, etc. Not that I know any of that
