Well, don't rush too much unless you want to hang out for a bit. Not sure when Rick is going to make it down with the car anyway. Want to get out of here around 7:30ish so we can make it before closing,

That is ridiculous for a clear back, which is nice, but not $700+ nice.

Why would you want to disable it?

Some racing series require it.
Also, some people just find it annoying.

I like it, so I left it in, but it's pretty neat how easy it is to disable it without drilling out hardened pins and cutting the column as most people do. Almost like BMW intended it to be that easy...

I have so much korean bbq spicy pork ribs
My aunt from korea made a bunch after buying of full rack from costco yesterday

Too bad you can't eat this stuff, kalim
Otherwise I'd bring you some
I am taking some food with me to the potrero hill place ... so I don't end up foraging for food and eating all the junk food at my friend's place

It's $4500 and $5500, so those are actually really good prices. But still beyond my budget.

I paid about $200 to have an aftermarket clear back put on my watch. 700 isn't rediculious for factory. Is it the same movement? I.e. do they put a nicer more polished version in the one with a clear back?

Personally, I don't either, but it's out of my range, movement is the same, and for some reason the solid back is more desirable anyway:

Yeah, I looked it up, 125 ft-lbs.

That 1/4" hex can only handle so much.

That's inside the solid back one. Either way I'm happy, display back isn't a must or a deal-breaker.
