I have a 46" sony as well. It's been great, not a single problem or dislike. It's a CCFL backlit and not an LED backlit though, so it's definitely a bit dim until it warms up all the way, and takes longer if the room is colder.

Thinking of making a powered adjustment console racing chair or a powered adjustment office chair out of a standard black E46 coupe seat. Seat is free, materials would probably be like $50-$75 and sell for maybe like $200.

there's interest for sure
there's a thread somewhere about powering the seat with a different power source
quite a bit of discussion about whether it can be done through the wall outlet or need a big battery, etc
