Fr a long time I could fit my whole world in my VW, when I was spinning out I could get a full PA and decks in the back with vinyl and my curb monkey up front. Shoot once rescued broken down Ducati Monster from Shenandoah/Blue Ridge Parkway by simply driving out, removing mc wheels and lifting entire chassis minus wheels into the hatch.. Given that power and aerodynamics were considerably compromised, I always though that was pretty cool. I was I in the dub life for years before graduating to a Bimonia simply because I needed four doors and neithe rthe Jetta or Passat truly appealed to me (sportiest awd Passat is not bad at all but pricy).

VWs especially GTIs are very fun sporting little cars that can be turned into kick ass racers, they feel fairly similar in some ways to their BMW brethern. BMW might own Mini but that's not a German car. VW is decidedly kraut rock kinda ride and if You try one you might you...

Sorry, no pics. Might have pics of the car, though.
She was a little older and slightly fobby. Would have been perfect for you.
Also, her mom was nice.
