I don't know. I like stream of consciousness writing and Doug's posts are that. I suppose it excites lots of neurons, which equates to fun for me.

Your neurons are excited but you're still so boring.

Indeed. Intelligent insults are much more enjoyable, but they keep the peace particularly well because people don't usually get offended if they don't understand they're being insulted in the first place!
OTOH, intelligent people are more likely to respond in kind, which turns into banter rather than a fistfight.

Not always, but sometimes!

...and Miles, that post was for you as much as Mango, and not an ordinary dmax post. I haven't written one that long in a long time.

Break it up into segments and just read one a day...and in like a month, you'll be through it and it won't feel so onerous.

You're welcome!

I've come to the consensus that the level of quality, time, and price for TIG welding is beyond most automotive people and their projects, especially so if they own an E30.

The sole redeeming factor of this TIG welding machine is going to be when I make two very pretty exhaust systems; one for my 318is and one for my 2.3-16V.

This post was actually to the point.

Yes, that is what I do, and it doesn't work.

lol_E30_owners. Talk about barking up the wrong tree.

Anyway, next time you come over, I have some interesting news to talk to you about.

Thanks, but the problem is that it's already been devoured by this thread. You built the titanic but it's too large to navigate through this white water river.
