Is it best to change the fuel filter with a cold car or a warmed up car?

I was planning on changing the oil and the filter at the same time.

Just bleed the pressure off first. It'll bleed off slowly over time anyway.

I read somewhere that you should remove the fuel pump fuse, crank the car, let it die, and then proceed to remove the filter.

As I found, that method doesn't work completely.
You should continue bleeding from the fuel rail.
