Are you saying this because of the Xbox One?

You should have realized this when they announced the stupid crap you have to do for it

My IBM T30 Laptop is pimped out and awesome now. I can start it up, login with a password, open up firefox, check mail, and shut every thing down before my 2010 macbook pro with its very full platter hard drive even gets to the login window. I'm just surprised this old IBM laptop even works after what I've done to it.

2.00Ghz --> 2.50Ghz processor - works!
completely disassembled computer down to bare motherboard and reassembled - works and have no missing or extra screws
sprayed motherboard and case down with isopropyl alcohol to clean - nothing bad happened and now the board is shiny and clean
reflowed the solder on the ram sockets - nothing broke, and now I both sockets work, giving me 1GB of RAM
removed modem daughter card - computer didn't care;
40GB 5400RPM hard drive --> 64GB SSD - fitment was perfect, made the computer lighter, and drastically sped up the laptop
fresh install of windows XP and drivers and adjusted settings - took forever but everything works perfectly

Only thing left now is:
-replace older ram module with newer matching ram module
-replace ram door cover with updated part
-replace optical drive with travel bezel to reduce weight and power usage
-order lithium hobby batteries and wire into original battery case and electronics
-disable lid latches of laptop
-install batteries and laptop into Pelican case and wire it up

Also, the computer is registering the new 2.5Ghz chip.

Updating BIOS and controller stuff now, and then I'm going to setup the SSD.
Noice.
