The first price drop probably won't be at least for a year, maybe longer, especially given the aggressive pricing compared to the Xbox.

You might as well buy it when it first comes out and just enjoy it.

I suppose. I just don't like that you have to buy new controllers.

I think there will be many more initial ps4 owners this time around, even in the US

Meh, I am looking forward to the new controller. The ps3 controller is just a flimsy as the ps1 and ps2 controllers. The new one looks a lot more substantial.

Don't get me wrong, so am I but I really wanted to make use of my 3 other controllers

I hope games don't get any more expensive, but if they do there's still the option to buy used

I hear you bruh, but I'm just going to sell off all my ps3 stuff anyway. Might as well start from scratch.

I think the games will stay at $60.

Try pre-selling them yourself to people so you have customers lined up the instant you get them.

I heard today that's how some really good home based car part-outs are done. The seller would pre-sell a bunch of parts over the course of a few months on a car forum before the car is even bought, and then once the car is bought, the car gets stripped down and sold off as fast as possible.

That way the car only sits for less than a month instead of years.

The catch is you have to be good at marketing yourself since you are marketing stuff you don't have yet, and you also need someone that is very good at quickly stripping and shipping car parts.

I think there will be a whole lot of PS4 purchasing, since it's been so long since the PS3 came out, and also due to the competitive pricing right from the start.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the new controllers as well. The past style was awkwardly small.

It adds up to quite a lot, but when you consider one Genuine BMW HID headlamp is like $1300, it's not so bad.

My only suggestion would be to get normal or LED amber bulbs for the corner lights. The mirrored bulbs are a little bit more dim, which isn't a big issue, but they get way more hot compared to other bulb types. Hot enough to warp the sockets and corner lamp assemblies.

Weird, first time I ran my IBM T30 off battery power, it lasted like 15 minutes doing nothing. Just now I tried running it down and it lasted an hour and a half.

Also, 20 amp hours of Zippy Li-Poly batteries have been ordered. I'm looking forward to testing out a 15 hour battery life. I'm not looking forward to a 15 hour charge time though on the stock charging system.

i would be capitalizing on the people who didn't have the foresight to order ahead of time.

Who in their right mind would pay more then asking price for an easily obtainable good?

Sony's big blunder at the beginning of the ps3's life was it being very expensive, a complicated cell architecture (no/inferior versions of games), and letting microsoft having a year of competition free sales which really screwed them over in the United States, at least until they started cutting the price

They've done everything right with the ps4.

Well, I guess it doesn't really work so well when Amazon.com is doing exactly that with the PS4.

When it comes to mass produced electronics, I think all the hoarding and scalping is pretty stupid.

I already preordered one for myself via amazon (with 12 months deferred financing for opening up an amazon credit card presuming i qualify), and if I can get my hands on another one I might try to sell it around christmas when they (might) be in short supply.

I just hope the PS4 has the hardware and technical edge to last the same amount of time as the PS3.
