You got his insurance info right? Get as much as you can from them and get yourself an even nicer car. There is that clean e21 that was posted on r3v

you could always pull a stanceworks:

repair it
slam it
crazy wheels
rust it
chop it
burn it
...
profit.

Yea he was a young kid, barely had a license but not on the insurance he was borrowing his older sisters car.

No e21, it all depends on how much or how little comes from the insurance.

I don't have the burly white man beard to pull that off plus I'm not a stancefag.

posted one on facebook, the rest are on my phone. Best case scenario I can get some money from insurace keep the car as salvaged whack out the core support get a new fender, bumper and valence then sell it on craigslist. The combined money should be enough to get me into something much more presentable.

Yo!

So Tommy coded my car for the lights to flash when I lock-unlock my car (clown nose too). Whats odd is that it works intermittently? sometimes they flash, sometimes not. Just read that it could be a sensor (door, trunk, most likely hood) that reading that a doors not fully closed. But not sure cause I dont fvck with the doors, and it will still be intermittent.

I had a problem before the recode, to where my doors would intermittently lock while turning the key in the DS cylinder. Sometimes all would lock like they are supposed to, sometimes just the drivers door would look. (this is all manual, not from the key fob button). This problem seemed to be worse when it was hot out, and more likely to lock all doors when it was cold.

Strange

sounds like the wiring is funky, like as the heat expands if moves away from the contacts somehow and when it's cold it contracts back to the spot it "wants" to be at in order to operate normally. Maybe they're just loose and need to be tightened?

Yeah I was thinking it def could be solder joints contracting/expanding. makes contact when colder, expands out of contact when hot. Would this be in the GM5? Door lock actuator? ive read into both, but havent found my problem.

I wish we still had our old e32. I would so be willing to chop that. I was going to turn that car into my "why not" project but my dad got rid of it.

Sounds like GM5 problems.

GM5 might be storing some fault codes.
