He also has a longer-ranged remote receiver attached to the top of his camera. Now he doesn't have to walk as closely next to his camera as he used to.

Just so you guys know, the rig is about 10% of the work. He is a master at PhotoShop. IMO, that's where a lot of his talent is, along with shot selection, subject framing and site selection.

oh of course. the rig can only do so much, you still have to be a master of your craft to turn out great pictures like he does. (and i mean that in an all around sense)

hit the nail in the noggin' "ding ding ding". hence i always tell him to teach me his PS skills. lol

he is for sure a great photographer, no doubt. i'm actually wondering the quality of his pics straight off the glass.
