also keep in mind, if you fail x% or drop your classes you will owe that money back to financial aid. and yeah, they'll only give you a certain amount per classes you take per school

Yep, state/financial institution (if you got a loan) would hand money to school, school takes their share (tuition, "fees", etc) then hands change to you. If you sign up for e-refund, you don't have to lift a finger. Checks usually come in about a week from disbursement.

BTW the dropping/returning money thing is only if you drop the class within a certain time frame, i.e., you drop the class after you get the refund BUT before "dropping with a W" policy sets in. At least in my school that's how it is.

Well I got my award e-mail a week ago, and the semester starts February 6th. How do i know if it was "late" or not? Can I just select my classes and it will automatically pay for them?
I'm also talking about the pell grant. I'm not going to use the loan they offered me.

I think-and don't quote me-they either a)don't send funds to your school or b)the money sorta stays "in limbo" until you pick classes. So yeah, pick classes as soon as your school's system allows you to register. Since you already got approved, the disbursements and deductions for tuition will be automatic.

I need to give them checking info for the change to be sent to right? I'm only taking two classes so I'm sure I will have extra.

Well if you are getting a grant, it will be proportional to your status (part-time, full-time, etc.) so you will get less or more depending on how many classes you have. Loans stay the same. And yes, checking account number and routing number are necessary to sign up for e-refund.

there should be a financial aid tab on your schools website. it should give you more information on the award and random info. |

I think they work out some sort of ratio. In my case, the amount of the grant is determined if you are part-time (<6 units) or full-time (>6 units); if you pass a certain threshold of units, then you get all of it. If not, well, you get a portion.

Yup, I do plan on reffing it. That's one of the main goals I laid out at the start of my swap thread.
Actually, just went to the exhaust shop with Toby a little while ago to pick it up. Got a custom section 3 (axle-back) installed (pipes without muffler) temporarily. Might still be a bit on the loud side, lol.

No. Still not sure if I should try to sell as a whole, whole minus motor and trans, or complete part-out. Last option will be very tough with my limited storage space.

Damn when you ref it, the resale on the car will jump so crazy. I don't think there are any legit ref swaps done. Nobody does takes the time.
