Best option is to buy a wrecked M3 for parts for about $4500 and throw in another $500 for maintenance parts as needed.
Labor is about 50 hours if you go that route, or 40 hours if you have parts already removed.

That one definitely has potential. The suspension is most likely bent out of shape, so might have to get some of those from the wreckers or a different car. Either way, should come in around target.

Depends on the shop. I charge a little less.

Costs are offset by how much other unnecessary stuff you can part out of the donor car (e.g., interior) and how much you get for your original motor, trans, etc. ($2000-2500).
