It's different kind of cool, if you really want to change it out by all means but do not lose that M roundel...it'll be worth $$$ like how small tid bit e30 parts are these days. I know a lot of e30 guys who would kill for an M emblem on their mtech steering wheels like that if it were original. I'll go out on a limb and say the e46's will go the way of e30's in the coming decades and little stuff like that will go up in value.
