i actually applied to the LAPD back in 2002-2003 ...
passed the tests and passed 2 interviews
but there was a hiring freeze back then

plus my plan was to go to law school anyway
so i was trying to see if i can get through the academy training and work a maximum of 1 year and then go to law school
but with the hiring freeze, the timing would not have worked

just buy a new one! seriously
reviving a 7 year old laptop is so not worth it
unless if you're just bored and like to tinker with stuff

Ed(?) the laptop i'm fixing is the newer one i have. the one i'm currently using is 7 years old. plus i'm broke as a joke. i don't get paid til friday and i have no gas in my car so i'm probably going to borrow my parents to go to frys to get some thermal paste which i will charge on my CC. LOL. if that puts it into any perspective. haha

i got it all cleaned up. there was a ton of dust in there like Kalim said. hopefully it'll run fine after this.

Werd. I like the look of no tint, but I'd rather have the privacy of it. I also hate running no tint in front, or different percentages in the front/back. I just hate getting **** from the cops, so no tint it is.

Last one I cleaned, the fan was just spinning at top speed because it was completely surrounded by dust and could barely push any air, lol.

*pat pat*
i know that feel, bro

do you even NEED the 7 yr old laptop?
if you don't absolutely need it, just pull the data off it and let it go to laptop heaven
and don't bother spending any money on the thermal paste or any other maintenance item/replacement part and the gas it takes to get to fry's

he should buy it anyways. it's like 5 bucks, and the new laptop will need the thermal paste because the stock one sucks anyways.

Yeah, just clean the old stuff off really well. Then put a thin layer of the new stuff on and attach the cooler evenly.

Yeah, they use that instead of thermal paste sometimes. It does the same thing.
