maybe you can just front the money so the shop will order the parts first and start working on it
and just be "reimbursed" by the insurance check

could be an option if you want to make sure you make it in time

if i had $1400 dollars laying around to throw at it, i probably still wouldn't. The other insurance company is claiming fault. But I know what is going to happen. The appraiser is going to come out here and only do a visible inpection estimate and provide it to my insurance company. Then when the shop starts work, they will have to provide supplemental claims for parts found once tear down begins.... just seems like a headache.

well, appraiser just showed up.... cool dude and he has worked with the body shop I will be using. I showed him the shop estimate and he said it was legit and his would most likely be the same. New bumper, paint, panel work, etc... Would be nice to get a check next week so i can get it in the shop. Should get the appraiser estimate in the next couple hours.

well, feel better already. I have been under so much stress, I just didn't want to have to deal with "another" thing gone wrong.
