Raj honestly this gives you your own answer.

Worse than can happen is either you loose a potential "thing with her" or sh!t gets a little akward at work. We need some more back story but doesn't sound as "if" she is seeing somebody now it's too srs. You're not making her leave anyone just telling her how you feel, she decides how to respond to it. She might say "I am regretably with somebody at the moment " or "I feel the same way about you, I love me some dark chocholate. What took you so long to tell me? Take me in the back room and shoot your loving on my face. I'm going to call you Al Bunndy, don't make it wierd." or something else along those lines im just adlibing here.

Anyhow I say go for it, only live once. I find more regret in what you don't do and not in what you did.

/sleep deprevation rant.

I am of the opinion leave without any regrets. the worst is having something to say and never really getting to say it.

Thing is i don't want it to come off like i want her back (I know it isn't the best thing to do, but at the same time, if she says she wants to aswell, i don't know if i'll be able to say no). BUT i'm in no way trying to break her up with her current thing, and i feel like talking to her about this stuff will be kinda selfish. do you guys think it's best for me to just keep it to myself or tell her? one of my friends is saying "i'd want to do the same thing, but it isn't the best idea" and one is saying go for it(he actually came up with the idea to tell her)

can sgc be serious? dun dun dunnn!
Sounds like you need closure even though you say you are fine and don't need to get back with her. If you need closure, say something. If you don't need closure and have moved on, why bother? it will make you look like an a$$hole anyway.

My dad and stepmom have this rule.... it can be hard, but they try to stick with it. Never bring up something more than 7 days old. I know this doesn't apply in all cases..... but it is good to try to follow that. Sometimes in extreme circumstances it may need to be brought up but......

I don't know why I keep them. I guess I thought if I ever sell the car I would give the new owner all the oem parts. I have everything except the oem sideskirts..... hell, i even have the stock muffler. But I don't see myself selling my car, I love it to much as dumb as that sounds. I would rather it rot away with me then sell it for a couple grand to some 18 yr old kid.

usually the best practice......but why bring up old stuff with someone you are no longer with if you couldn't say it when you split or in the moment.

The problem with this school of thought is that it's very shortsighted.

Anyway, see which is the "lesser evil" of the two...would she really be "the one that got away" or are you gonna be completely selfish? At the end of the day, she could be just another girl, but just because there isn't a lot at stake doesn't make you shouldn't make a calculated move.

Interesting, yeah I think its more for the closure than anything else.

That 7 days rule is interesting.

I was gonna ask her to lunch today, i'm still on the fence though i'm leaning towards doing it. I think it'll help keep us friends. I'm not really looking for a second chance.

i totally understand
the car is worth a lot more to you and me than the actual dollar value of the car if we were to sell it
i plan on keeping my car and, when i make enough money, doing projects with it
like the m3 sedan conversion a la kalim

Yeah, I have a lot of plans in my head..... just don't know when I will execute them. Kind of depends on my situation when I am ready. I would like to get an 06 M3 with low miles... if that is good to go, i would send the sedan(S65 engine ) to kalim. but who knows..... just have to wait and see what my situation is when I am ready to pull the trigger.
