Probably the maximum value of a signed 32-bit integer. IIRC, I've seen a forum error where someone had it reset to the negative value of a signed 32-bit integer.

It might just roll over to that.

I was kidding, but as far as I know admin can only reset it to zero at the users request, we can't actually change it. And don't know if there is a cap. We only remove threads and archive them for the sake of the servers if the get really large, hence the SGC version 1.0, 2.0 ect

If the post count gets reset to zero, do all the posts from that person go away, too?

oh, yea i know you can change to zero. i was considering that at one point, but then i realized how much harder it is to sell stuff so i kept it lol now i don't even have to post a picture and will still get the sale.

i meant post count of the individual user rather than individual threads.

i think the highest post count i've ever saw on a user was some random username with 1,000,000 posts lol i swear there was a thread on it at one point.

No, I can view posts removed from the forum. We have our own secret society. If we remove a post it may remove from the users post count but we can still see it

Oh yea, I know that. But for the average user, they are not visible?

resetting the post count to zero will leave all the posts intact. it's just the user's count will be zero. deleting the post itself will remove it from view from "normal" users as well as subtracting the count. not sure about the count part

does anyone remember back in the days when there wasn't even a post count? lol there were threads popping up debating on whether to implement it here and there. if only i could remember my old username/password. i could have a 1969 join date when the server was upgraded lol
