Pretty freaking epic though. It really makes me want to do one... but also makes me afraid of how much work/time it will take haha I might need to pay someone to do it. I only have one car.

I think it does make more sense for me to do this swap though than get a m3 coupe... I'm gonna start saving!
lol, thanks.

It takes a week to do the complete swap with everything available, so you'll need a second car to drive in the meantime if that's your primary transportation.

Yeah I can do without a car for a week if that's how long a shop takes to get it done. Honestly I could probably go without a car for a month in Summer if I wanted to try to do it myself... I just don't have all those tools and engine lift etc.

How much of a benefit is it to swap over the front m3 suspension? I was just thinking about getting a m3 bbk kit with modified front brackets. Does the front suspension push your wheels out more? I think the rear swap does not sure though.

Also how did you get the car carb legal? Did you have to get it inspected by someone?

It's klxautogarage.com.

I haven't gotten around to setting up hosting or a blog up yet. Any turnkey blogs you recommend?

It lets you run M3 brakes, which is probably the main benefit. The suspension geometry change is slight. It doesn't really push the wheels out front or rear. Modifying the brake brackets is definitely easier and cheaper.

To make it legal, you just have to retain everything emissions-related including OEM cats, SAP, EVAP system, etc. I have yet to set up my BAR appointment, but it's all set to be inspected.

Cool thanks for answering my questions! Yeah I just replaced most of my front suspension so I was hoping I could keep it.

I see I see... what kind of trouble do you get into if you don't do that? I mean if I could I would love to install the headers while putting everything in, but it wouldn't' be the end of the world if I didn't and just used the oem headers/cats. It would certainly save me some money... and give me time to save up for the rest.

You just got me thinking... what do I need my SAP for if I install aftermarket headers ( gen 3's on my current engine) if I don't install aftermarket cats?

did i really wake up this early to be inundated with overcast skies and light drizzle

neighbors are most likely still sleeping and don't want to hear the clatter or an electric pressure washer and an air compressor
