Chad is only in it for the poking. It's up to you if you want to cry.

Kalim do you know... or know how I would find out the master cylinder piston sizes are for my car (2001 330) for the front/rear? I have been trying to search on here and Google but I think my search skills are failing right now.

That's what someone is asking to try to calculate some braking bias/configurations I wanted. Does he mean the following? Or is it something different. He told me the following "You can find the size of the MC pistons stamped into the side of the MC itself -- you may need to remove the reservoir to see them, but since you'll be changing fluid anyway... it would be nice to know."

E46 330i:

Fronts:
325mm X 25mm***
57mm Piston

Rears:
320mm X 22 mm
42mm Piston

Did you guys take your e46 in for the subframe inspection? The result of the class action lawsuit.
I never knew about it and didn't pay attention to the threads on the forum
I was cleaning crap out because of the move and just found the letter

LOL. There was a limited time frame in which you could take it in and have it inspected, then repaired for free if necessary. You can still take it in for inspection now, and they'll cut you some slack (i.e., a discount) if it needs fixin', but it certainly will not be free of charge.

To determine the existing brake bias, he would need to know the piston sizes of the master cylinder since it has separate front and rear pistons. Our E46 MCs are a tandem design. I don't know the non-M specs offhand.
He would also need the piston sizes of the front and rear calipers.

What you've listed there are the caliper piston sizes, so that's half of the equation.

Nah, I had mine reinforced long before the settlement even happened.

Also, a friend took his to an indy for repair about a month or two ago and didn't know about the settlement. I told him and he was reimbursed by BMW very quickly.
