I have heard of 3 of those, but don't know if I've actually listened to anything by them. lol

That would be correct in the sense that I listen to nothing.

But if you look at my collection from a time long ago when I did, it has a bit of everything.
The majority would be classic rock and alternative with a ton of Metallica thrown into the mix.

Yes, I listened to some White Stripes.
British electronic music > American electronic music for the most part. Chemical Brothers, LFO, Frou Frou (a little weird), a few others.

Well, it's more correct to say I listen passively vs. actively now. You get bombarded by music no matter what.
One of the biggest contrasts while I was in Saudi Arabia in October was that I heard no music the whole 3.5 weeks I was there. No commercial jingles, no elevator music, no dubstep blaring out of a riced out civic. I really didn't mind.

now that commercials are more indie, folk, rock and dubstep i don't hear as much "hip hop" thankfully. "hip hop" sounds like children's books, but children's books are better written.
