I dont mind the 1series M as it remindes me of the 2002tii. i think they could make a 135tii with a proper engine upgrade then price it high (m3 range) and only make a few. as to not make competition the m3s

they need to bring back the m1 supercar and refocus on making the ultimate driving machine.

LOL, when the M1 was launched, BMW also had a crapload of models. Less of a model range per se, but just as many variants. People here far too often look back at history too positively...

Also, the 135tii is the 1M. Turbocharged, higher spec, and most expensive of the range. And simpler name to boot. The "I" designation is redundant since BMW no longer has carbureted models and most, if not all, of their engines are turbocharged anyways.

More like Mercedes-Benz actually, also having an M7 is as ridiculous and is still a dilution of the M Gmbh.

Of the BMW brand yes but not of the M Gmbh which is what I'm referring too... As for the variants by all means go to town just leave the M badge out of it. I'm all for a 1 series 3 series 5 series 6 series 7 series x and z series cars. but the 2,4 and eventual fwd models shouldn't be. Even the Gran coupe to me is a bit retarded but sales are sales, despite my opinion or anyone else that isn't a majority share holder.

Actually the 1M would be more akin to the 2002 turbo not the 2002tii which was non turbo'd and just had some goodies like a ZHP/"is" model of the day. It would've been nice to have seen them bring that nomenclature back again instead of the 1M name. Hell everyone else is rehashing old names...6.3L when it's really 6.2L, GTO for a non race prepped vehicle, but I digress.

LOL, you can have all the soapbox moments all you want, but you are forgetting that BMW is a business, and that's what sells.

LOL at people crying foul about the M Division...go buy another brand if it's disappointing. This is why I have no brand loyalty. The sales figures will teach BMW the lesson it needs to learn.

Your opinion is no brand loyalty yet an understanding of the nature of the beast, mine is disappointment but an understanding of the nature of the beast. Never once did I say I was a brand loyalist either. Just that particular topic was not part of the original discussion which was the dilution of a brand, not BMW but M Gmbh.

They do what they need to survive. I don't see anything wrong with it. I just turn the other way and walk...towards Mercedes.
