Meh
So yesterday took me 1 hour 12 mins using surface streets at 8am
Today took 1 hour 16 mins using the freeway at 6:40am
I think if I leave the house at 6am, i can beat much of the freeway traffic but otherwise I should stick to local streets

I was running the heater in the car a few nights ago
The air was hot in the beginning but then became not hot (maybe just barely warmer than the ambient temperature?) after a while
Cause for concern?

Possible you need to re-bleed. Make sure you monitor your temps immediately after a cooling job and a few days after. Personally, I bleed two or three times the following days after a cooling job.

Maybe but this is a week or two after? Have you been running the heater system this entire time and this is the first occurance or this is the first time you've done it?

How do I get the coolant temp or whatever to show up?

The heater was fine the day of the cooling system swap
Not sure if I ran the heater again since then ... so possible that this was the first time since the swap... which was like 3 weeks ago

I think he means just make sure there are no fluctuations in the gauge on the cluster.

I have seen ppl mention the hidden function to show actual running temperature

Fail, New spark plugs didn't help my random sporadic idle issues. My next guess is fuel filter...

Does your OBC work? Some cars aren't coded but if you have an OBC function from the stalk I think you can do it.

Sidenote while in the gay basketball player thread I watched a video and this was one of the one's after so much awesome

Hold down left cluster button until it says test. release button then immediately tap the button until it says 19. release button then immediately tap it until it says 7. make sure you're between 93 and 99. Should be 93-96 consistently. Mine pretty much sits at 93 and occasionally goes to 95. Just want to make sure you aren't running 100+ if you are, you technically aren't "overheating," but hotter than you should be which could indicate air pockets. Either way, bleed again and monitor coolant levels after a coolant job. If you haven't checked since your cooling job, I bet you are low.

I am probably low ... and I was waiting to actually redrain the entire block and refill

I'll check the temp through the hidden function over the next few days
Hopefully get everything drained and re-bled on saturday

You've probably got a little air in the system. Did you guys bleed after doing the cooling system work? Check again in the morning?
