issue with stop start at lights

issue with stop start at lights
Just something that started happening today. I didnt drive the car on Saturday and when I started it sunday morning it was not as smooth for the first few seconds then it was fine. I guess this is normal. Then after driving for awhile I noticed at the traffic lights the car would act as if the gear suddenly just engaged to 1st when I accelerate from idling from a dead stop. After that initial lag which seems a bit like dropping RPM and picking up immediately then the car is normal. It only happens when its starting off from a dead stop (e.g. traffic lights) from idle. Also when its on idle it seems fine too both while on N and D. This did go away after awhile but after stopping for a few hours and heading back home it happened again. I noticed that, when I let it roll a bit, as its on gear and then accelerate this doesnt happen. No lights or warnings came on.

Its got 5 speed steptronic with 93K on the clock. Its due for an oil service in about 7000Kms. I am planning to do an oil/filter chanaged now. Maybe even get a new set of spark plugs changed as preventative maintenance.

Any idea what might be happening ?N
