Exclamation CF CSL Euro Spec Trunk

I should be installing my cf trunk on my e46 2mrrw but I am not sure if I just have to remove the OEM bolts and just install them right back on like how the oem trunk was fitted...

Yes, I believe you're correct; I don't have one but from what I've read you re-use the OEM hardware.

the only thing that's hard to get off the original trunk are the little grommets that the handle screws go in to. PITA to get out, and if you can get some new ones, it'll make life easier for you

1). you MIGHT not re-use ALL of the bolts. Depending on where you got your trunk from, all the bolts wont be used on the electronic locking mechanism.
2). Do you have a dremel on hand?
3). the rear grommets being taken out will be next to impossible. Buying new ones, you may be supplied with the new version which is larger than the OE ones that came on your trunk. You may need to modify the mounting holes for the grommets to fit them and possibly use some gorilla glue to hold them in place.

I installed the CF trunk..the handle was also installed by some new grommets...the handle does not hold good enough because i believe the back of the handle where from where the bolts go is kind of worn out..any ideas to fix this problem..?

the grommets themselves. Don't mess with the handle, leave that completely alone.

some gorilla glue on top of the grommets itslef? cuz i mean the grommets fit perfectly sturdy, however..the trunk handle needs some support on the back where one screw goes into it because it wont hold with the trunk handle anymore..

Ok so I have installed my CF CSL trunk but I now need a CF bmw emblem to match. I found some on ebay but they come with the prongs on the back to mount them; however, the CF CSL trunk i bought from euro spec does not have pre holes drilled..any idea what I can do..?

Buy one, dremmel off the prongs and use either 3M tape or clear RTV silicone. I prefer clear RTV silicone....it is waterproof and will not mess stuff up....cheap also and you can use it for other things around the house.

At least that is what I did for my CF hood and trunk emblems, hope it helps.

If getting roundels with prongs, either drill holes or cut and sand down the prongs. You could also buy them from anyone of the sponsors / vendors here. Several of them sell the same items for equal cost and some times less once you factor in the piece of mind and customer service aspect.

yea bro..I was thinking about doing the same thing but did not know what would be some good silicon to use..and the clear RTV silicone sounds perfect..do u think walmart, or kragen or autozone might sell the RTV silicone..?A
