To tint or not to tint?

I'm just trying to get a general consensus on window tinting. I currently work for a large company and recently the parking lot has become a target for thieves. They target unopened cars and cars with anything visible inside. They literally have broken windows (5 in the past week) to get things they can see. So, I have been looking into putting a slight tint on my windows, but I'm not sure if I really to? What percentage do you guys recommend or think looks good and not overkill?

I go 20% transmission, one step below limo dark. I love tint windows, they look good.

tint is rated in degrees of light transmission. 5% is "limo" black. It only allows 5% of the light through. So, yah 20, 25, 50, 70 and so on. 70% is very very light.

I know this is off topic but "illestminimike" Your Mini Cooper is F-ing sweet man! I'm looking for one myself.

I think transmission is the amount of light that passes through? That's my guess

Your company should hire security.

Also a better theft deterrent would be to put anything of worth out of sight, or leave it home if you don't need it.

You'll like how a good tinting makes your car look nice. Especially if you have chrome window trim, the contrast is very nice. Don't forget to get the visor tinted! It makes the car look more aggressive. I hear the visor adds 5hp too.
