Car won't start...Where's the starter motor?

Does anyone have a picture or diagram showing where the starter motor is on a 2003 325i? The car won't start and I'm thinking the starter motor may be to blame.....thanks

on my 330ci it was directly below the intake manifold. take a look down there with a flash light.
or worst case scenario take a look at the diagram at www.realoem.com

It is located by the driver side underneath the intake manifold.

what happens when you try to start your car? My car won't start either, it won't crank. All I hear is something trying to happen, but the car won't click or anything. This has happened in the past and it started a few hours later like nothing was wrong with it. But, this time it's been a whole day so far and my car has NOT started. I was thinking because the day before yesterday I didn't use it at all and it was FREEZING out here in NY?

unless its -100C i dont think its frozen, i leave my car for a week at times without starting it and it always starts on the first turn of the key (Canada we get freezing weather too ), invest in a multimeter and check the battery or take it out, bring it somewhere for checkup.
