My Ride: What else?
Need new Media Center (Please advice)

I'm looking to set up a new media center at home, basically looking for a way to record shows with my PC as well as consolidate all my songs, movies etc all on one box.

I want to be able to burn DVDs from recorded shows and stuff

I'm a complete noob to this so please give me a complete list of what to buy.

All I have right now is a Samsung 42 inch tv, surround sound and an xbox

I'd like to purchase a new PC to handle all of this, recommendations on hardware specs are appreciated as well

Thanks

Apple TV is the easy solution to this.

Host all your DVD's, TV Shows, Music on your hard drives and stream to the Apple TV.

There are of course more complex solutions to a media network, but I don't really want to get in to them, nor would I recommend them. Ease of use and affordability I would go with the Apple TV.

Or a Kaleidescape....
