last question(s): are you happy with the HU? do you like it, do the features work, was it worth all the work to install it? thanks

It's amazing, I use it everyday! (which was my reasoning on dropping the cash/work hours on it)

Features work great, integrated bluetooth makes me never want to drive another car that doesn't have it. Voice recognition/command works flawlessly and allows me to be truly hands free

In short, yes, it's worth it!

Did this myself. What a pain. The Janus is worth it if you get the entire kit. I only purchased the bezel. I had to cut the back just like you did. As for my head unit, I'd much rather have the Z3, or the Kenwood. They are way more flexible and upgrading than this eclipse I have. Overall, it beats that factory Business CD. I love the look too.

That's a good catch. Maybe I should adjust it down a tab. I was just happy to get it in. Once I get some time on my hands, I'll look into it.

Great install, I have the same unit with the same kit. Took me like two days to install it, but is definitely worth it.

Your article was very helpful with my install. I pretty much followed what you did for the most part. I lined the tub with dynamatt for extra insulation, and mounted the mike on the steering
wheel. Thanks for such a good writeup and pics.

Enjoy the German to English translation. I laughed my a$$ off at some parts, probably mostly because I was a little tired after working so many hours

Killer write up! I have the whole janus designs kit. Kenwood 8120. You had some very detailed pics, thanks for your efforts!

Did you have a schematic for wiring the harness in? Where did you order your adaptor and hvac relocation?

thanks again, Mike

1How much of all this is easier if I have MK III nav?
And 2 I have always loved the avic new 700 900 bt series and I guess their new replacements
They did receive some bad rap ionitially, and How different is the B90 from the 900??
I can't find anything except the warranty/price??
Is the new series just relabeled?
thanks

Dedicated wok there, nice write up.Don't you think that silver knob would look better black? anyone have pic? I saw a site that sold all kin ds of replacemnt knobs for these
