My Ride: 2002 BMW 330Ci
Can I get your approval on this setup before I purchase?

Hello guys, I just want to get a thumbs up and hear your comments on the below setup that I'm prepared to purchase very soon. Car is a 2002 330Ci.

Wheels:
Beyern Mesh 18/8.5/5-120/40 offset (front) & 18/9.5/5-120/45 offset (rear)

Tires:
Falken FK-452s 235/40/18 (front) & 255/35/18 (rear)

Please verify the above specs will be compaitable with my setup and with each other for me (specifically the wheel offsets). Also, I noticed most people run a 225 tire in the front on these wheels; will I have any trouble running a 235?

I know a lot of this has been discussed in the past but I wanted to just present this package to you all and get an 'ok' on it since I am pretty set on this setup. Thanks in advance.

That's a perfect setup. A 235 on an 8.5" is fine.

You could also go with a 265 rear tire for a coupe.

Thanks for all the replies guys. My best quote so far is $1630 OTD not including new lugs or alignment. Does this sound fair? This is at very reputable little southern california shop called Tucker tire. I will be going with this setup first part of April and will definitely post some pics...

WARNING: This setup requires at least a 3mm spacer for the rear wheels, I found out the hard way today. My car is stuck in the shop awaiting 5mm spacers tomorrow, hopefully. After doing so much research on this setup I couldn't believe I ran into this problem today. The clearance on the front wheels is fine but the rear break calipers DEFINITELY touch the wheels. I was about to back my car off the lift when the installer noticed it at the last second, thank GOD, or I would have brand new screwed up wheels on my hands right now. Pheeeww! Hopefully I can get it all wrapped up tomorrow, get it washed this weekend, and get some pics up by next weekend. The wheels and tires themselves look sick!

What? It hits the rear caliper? What brakes do you have?

I've never heard of clearance issues with the Beyern Mesh wheels. Glad you found out sooner rather than later though.

Yep, that's what the guys at beyern are saying, 'what kind of breaks do you have?' Haha. I don't know, all I know I'm the second owner of the car and its got a perfectly clean title and carfax. Possible the car was imported to CA after being built for Germany but this is highly improbable. My wheel guy verified they are the correct size at 45mm. From reading some of these posts on these wheels I was expecting the rear clearance to be really close but mine are definitely touching. I'm hoping to get a call real soon here to go pick my baby up. Keep yall posted...

So I am extremely happy with the results, got the car back tonight. The 5mm spacers are barely noticeable (obviously) but does the trick. Weather permitting, I will get the car cleaned up this weekend and shoot some pics...
