Thumbs Up DFW Charity Racing back-roads cruise: 4/19/09

When-Sunday 4/19/09

Time-2:00pm

Driver's meeting-2:30

Address of meeting spot:

1800 N Graves Street, McKinney, TX 75069

Map of where to meet:

http://yellowpages.superpages.com/ma...=75069&spad=no

1st half-estimated time 1 hour

Drive about a mile or 2 down the road then turn on to farm roads

The first half will be mostly straightways with few curves and scenic Texas Country(oxymoron?).

Then we pull in and stop in a flat field. I can not stress enough how flat the field is- A Dodge Viper 650R was able to drive in this field with no issues(Is pending depending on how many cars show)

Drive a few more miles and we will come to a Cheveron.

2nd half-estimated time 50 minutes to 1 hour

Leave Chevron

Nice long straightway for a mile or 2

Turn on to more farm roads

Lots of twisties and curves-will really test one's suspension!

Pop out at 75

Head south to Big Tony's for food and raffle drawing

100 Miles round trip from the meeting spot

Where the cruise will end:

http://www.bigtonysgrill.com/index.html

Big Tony's Pizza & Sports LLC

1705 W University Dr. Suite 118

McKinney, TX 75069-3218

972-542-8669

We will be raffleing off a $50 best buy giftcard and we will have a 50/50 pot as well. Raffle tickets for the BB gift card will be sold for 50 cents a piece. We will also be giving away 1 free raffle ticket to those who bring items such as size 4 diapers(50 pack).

For every additional 20+ diapers on top of the 50 you bring, you will get an extra raffle ticket for free. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the start of the cruise and stopping points. The drawing will be held at Big Tony's.

As always we will accept cash donations that will be used for the families. Thanks again for everyone's support!

No problem. We have a lot of fun on our cruises. The last one we held had my friend standing up on the back seat of my e34 wagon, sticking up through the rear sunroof taking rolling shots of everyone while hauling ass down I-635.

Depends on the BMW and the bike.

If the Bimmer's a row-your-own, that would get my vote. Otherwise it would be the R6.

"Row your own" = manual transmission.

Roads are good and the air is free of the smell of pork products.

One of the families we're helping out has a little girl that goes through ~25-30 diapers a day due to various illnesses that she was born with.

Caleigh's information:

We've been collecting diapers for their family to help ease the burden a little bit. Last cruise we did we raised enough to keep her in diapers and wet wipes for about a month.
