Stock cold air intake replacement

Hey guys
Looking for an expert opinion

In a hypothetical scenario if i was to replace my stock air filter and an air box with a cylinder K&N air filter. Basically connecting the K&N air filter to the hose that stock airbox was connected to. Would this cause any problems?

Thanks

no experts here-just opinions

1) i don't think it would fit
2) why not try a flat panel first? a flat panel runs around $50

You can make it fit if you get creative removing the stock airbox and connecting the filter with a silicone connector.

Would this give you the same gain as going with a cylinder type filter?

I know this is all pretty much ghetto style - just curious if this would work...
