Obama's Gun Ban List

One of my friends sent this to me in an email. Not sure if it has been posted already

Looking at that list makes me think its about to to start buying those listed guns up

Quote:
Here it is, folks, and it is bad news. The framework for legislation is always laid, and the Democrats have the votes to pass anything they want to impose upon us. They really do not believe you need anything more than a brick to defend your home and family. Look at the list and see how many you own. Remember, it is registration, then confiscation. It has happened in the UK, in Australia, in Europe, in China, and what they have found is that for some reason the criminals do not turn in their weapons, but will know that you did.

Remember, the first step in establishing a dictatorship is to disarm the citizens.

Gun-ban list proposed. Slipping below the radar (or under the short-term memory cap), the Democrats have already leaked a gun-ban list, even under the Bush administration when they knew full well it had no chance of passage (HR 1022, 110th Congress). It serves as a framework for the new list the Brady’s plan to introduce shortly. I have an outline of the Brady’s current plans and targets of opportunity. It’s horrific. They’re going after the courts, regulatory agencies, firearms dealers and statutes in an all out effort to restrict we the people. They’ve made little mention of criminals. Now more than ever, attention to the entire Bill of Rights is critical. Gun bans will impact our freedoms under search and seizure, due process, confiscated property, states’ rights, free speech, right to assemble and more, in addition to the Second Amendment. The Democrats current gun-ban-list proposal (final list will be worse):

Question for you:
Are boobs and hands polarly charged, thus causing the inevitable joining of the two? If so are some breasts simply charged backwards?

On a scale from 0 to 24...wait, 3 to 24, where 6 is the lowest and 12 is the highest, how freaking high re you right now?

She's got you high, and you don't even know yet.

From the "About" section from his site:

"Alex Jones is considered by many to be the grandfather of what has come to be known as the 9/11 Truth Movement."

Sorry, but I tend to shy away from information provided by tin-foil heads.

I've posted my comments before... but here we go again... Just because you don't want one, you shouldn't be getting in the way of someone who does. Exercise your right not to buy something, not to help legislation interfering with others.
I rarely hear of murders (i.e. high crime areas) involving rifles. It's not very inconspicuous walking around with something that's 2-3 feet in length.

Russ, I completely agree that Alex Jones is a nutcase for the most part. 98% of what he says seems like he's pulled it out of his ass. I in no way shape or form really believe what he says. Some of my friends on the other hand would get down on their knees and blow Alex Jones if given the chance. Most of the time when they quote Mr. Jones as a source i roll my eyes because they really can't come up with any other source out there to back up what they are claiming to be truth just because it came from Alex Jones' mouth

The only reason i posted that up here was because i know there a quite a few gun owners among us and i figured that they'd like to know.

I'm sorry, but nobody needs an automatic high-powered rifle to "protect their home and family". If you want to own one, fine, be my guest. So long as it doesn't negatively affect me or the people I care about, I couldn't care less. BUT

Come on. Whoever wrote the email is attempting to make it sound like these rifles are essential to the security of one's home . If he'd had simply said "big f*cking guns are fun as hell", i'd have no problem with it.

Well first off, fully automatic guns are illegal. I don't see how someone owning a 2-3 foot rifle is more dangerous to you or anyone you know than a handgun. If you could explain that to me, it would be great. As I said, I can't recall many murders taking place with rifles.

And your point about protecting your home/ family... It can be one of many reasons to own a rifle. Regardless of the reason of owning one, I don't see a purpose to ban them.
And just for your info, I think alot of people use them for hunting, possible riot situations, etc. It's just not about someone breaking into your home in the middle of the night. There are much better weapons for stuff like that.
