I just bought one on Ebay, paid the big bucks, because I wanted one, I am glad to hear that they work well, Only had the car a week and my wife complains about blowing her hair.

Yup... hats in the side pockets, plus blankets in the trunk and extra hair ties in case the ladies don't have one. And, sunscreen.

Oh, and for the OP, the install is a no-brainer. No tricks, but put the feet under the lid (open it part way first), and the pegs in the holes in the sides near the rear seats.

Speaking of these windscreens, I bought my 330 vert a month ago and it has it and the case (thank god). Easy to use, but was quite dirty as I believe the previous owner used it quite often but never cleaned it. Wondering what cleaning tools or supplies everyone uses on their's? I just placed it in the bathtub with soap and water and cleaned it, but thought there might be a better option?
Thanks, in advance!

Try this one I found on Amazon.com and it's the lowest price for a new one I've seen.
http://www.amazon.com/Windstop-E46-L...4988612&sr=8-2
It has the legs that sit under the rear lid so that it can't be stolen and it has a storage bag. The brackets are adjustable so you can store it in the trunk as well.

That's funny, that is exactly what I did. I felt silly with it in the tub, but I guess I am not alone. Worked Great.

No idea. Just hose it down? I'd be curious if there was better. I see another vote for tub, lol.

Stop your windscreen from falling

I posted a quick fix awhile ago called the hitchpin mod. Takes 15 mins of your time and a few dollars for hitchpins. On windy days for sudden gust of high winds, this mod will prevent your windscreen from falling down. The mod is discreet, inexpensive and effective.

Quick question on this topic. The rubber tips for the windscreen that cover the feet that fit under the boot - is there a source to replace them? mine are torn and I am worried about losing them and exposing the boot to scratching, etc. Thanks!

Mine are worn too......might be yet another another plastic-dip solution??

I actually posted your mod in that thread link you have. I saw it on the M3 site and did it over a year ago and it works great! Cheap, simple to do and very effective. Kudos to you for a great idea.....

You may also want to just look for sellers of the same model you have. Thats what I did, called them up, asked them if they have the windscreen, and if so would they consider selling it separately. Bought mine for $275...Vs. BMW @ $800. Perfect condition with storage case!

Love mine. Much easier to carry on a conversation or hear music in better detail. I usually only use it on the interstate. It also allows you to leave the top down when it's a bit cooler out.
