If you blaze you can no longer drive a car in colorado

If the police pull you over and give you the "marijuana breathalyzer" and you test over 5nanograms...you get taken to jail and charged with DUI.

How much is 5 nanograms you ask? 5 billionths of a gram. Solid chance if you smoked a small amount last week and took the test right now you would fail.

Strong politics.

I agree. But when the state "legalizes" the use of marijuana, then makes laws making it illegal to drive your car for a week or so after you consume a "legal" product...it kinda doesn't make much sense.

If they ask why you're squinting, tell them you're half Asian. If you're Asian... draw eyeballs on your lids.

This was known to be coming from the get-go. Just like the limit on drinking and driving, there was going to be a limit on pot...

How does that not make sense to you?

Up next is taxing it. 10% sales tax and some amount of excise tax, they are talking 15%.

Stoned driving should be very illegal, i agree. Just like drunk driving. But the point I am bringing up is the "limits" they are setting are silly.

5 billionths of a gram of marijuana in your system is the limit.

A regular smoker could stop for a week and still blow the limit. The threshold is set to low. This would adversely impact medical marijuana patients.

Stoned driving isn't even half as bad as drunk driving

"hey man am I driving okay?" "I think we're parked man"

This is rediculous. You could be coming home from a concert/party and sucked in some second hand herb smoke and blow that amount...

Sh*t, I'd rather them just keep it illegal and not have to worry about getting pulled over with NOTHING on you and get in trouble for it.

I completely agree, and don't think you need a flame suit

The main risk of driving high is probably getting lost in your own neighborhood

I've driven stoned a few times. The most I've done is sit at a stop sign for a few extra seconds. Not to say my actions are acceptable but the comparison to a drunk and stoned driver is noticeable. I feel more concentrated since I know there is more probability to make a mistake but again, not fully acceptable.

but that limit is cray dou.. Seems like this a ginuepig for similar states to witness money making laws thru the legalizing of the herb.

they should measure it by how hungry you are. Or how late you react to an insult.

I do it every day. If anything I'm more 'alert' and cautious.
