Eagle eye sedan inner trunk lense comparison

Is it me or do the M3-style inner trunk lenses not match as well as the facelift inners for sedans?

With M3-style

See how the lower reflector strip of the inner lense is lower than that of the outer lense?

The lower strip of the outer lense does not flow to the inner lense at all!

With facelifts-

I know this looks odd with the amber inner lense and clear outers but it shows how it lines up perfectly.

And this just looks awful IMO, with prefacelifts

The pre-facelift inner lenses have a similar lower reflector size as the M3-style
Hope this isnt a repost but I've never seen a thread comparing all of these, the coupe eagle eyes look perfect though, the lower reflectors match exactly.
