Convertible windscreen / wind deflector issue

I've had my windscreen for about as long as I've had my car, and I've recently started experiencing more problems with the deflector falling down while driving. For those that have deflectors, have you experienced this, and if so, what did you do about it? I can't really explain why this has just started happening; maybe the weather in this area during this time of the year results in more variable winds, or something. I don't know. If I pass a tractor & trailer with the screen up, it's pretty much guaranteed to fall. TIA

I'm guessing they just wear out over time. Mine just started doing this as well. Perhaps someone has a fix for it.
