Exclamation very weird xenon problem PLEASE HELP

the other day my drivers side xenon started flickering, thought this was weird as i had a brand new bulb and ignitor fitted at dealer only 11 months ago, anyway thought id change the bulbs and the flicker moved with the bulb so i decided to get some 6000k bulbs, put them in and later in the day the right xenon had a bit of a problem lighting then started to flicker, swapped bulbs again and the flicker followed again!!. but the drivers side was ok even though thats where it started.so i went back to the shop where i got bulbs and swapped only the flickering one which at this point was in the passenger side. all was fine for about a day then the right one started flickering again. swappped the bulb again!!!! and it followed. please has anyone got any ideas. ive looked at the rear taillight ground wires on both sides as ive read they can short but they seem to be ok.

Last week I noticed my headlight was flickering left and right and so I turned it off. Once I turned it back on, one of my headlight went out and the indicator came on. I found out that my Xenon control unit ballast was blown. It might be this reason for you or maybe a loose wire somewhere.

I have another kind a problem. So today I've turned a car on, and switched a light switch on and passenger side Xenon low/high beam didn't work and even I got msg on dashboard info center. So then I shut down car open light cap to see what is going on and touched there, turn on a car again no help. So I went home to read a manual how to change a bulb, then come back 10 min later turn a car on, but put a light switch in auto position, it did adjust level and all lights are working again.
So Is anyone had same problem before? if so what is it?
Can anyone give me location of the ballast and if possible picture?
Thank you.

So no one have problem like in the post above.
Does anyone get done a service bulletin about headlight can be intermittent?
Also, I have 2003 model, in 2004 model the igniter is one whole part that is installed on back of the bulb socket, isn't true?
Then can it be done 2003 model?

Make sure that red plug thingy that goes to the back for the D2S bulb are properly seated. Could be a bad ballast/ignitor. PM Sillieidiot for more help

when I was installing my aftermarket HIDs I realized that an improper ground would cause the light to flicker. it sounds like maybe your lights might be grounded but get ungrounded somehow which causes the flicker. Would lead me to think it is a bad connection or something.

I have replace my rear light assy today. Someone did cracked that light on store parking lot, I guess by food store cart.
It was easy, but I may have touch some wires on rear. But rear and front is two different sides of the vehicle.

Has it any interconnection between rear left light and front right low/high beam?
Maybe something cross check. I have send email to Sillieidiot, but he didn't answer to me yet.

I think I am having the same issue here! I have a 01 with OEM HID. Low beam recently start flicking. I also notice the driver side rear light also acting up. After a quick check of the driver side tail light panel (panel that hold all the bulbs), the brown wire (Ground) was warn/burn out. Looks like there was a short of some high heat happend. I just ordered a new panel from Bavarian, should be here in week. I can verify that after I replace the rear panel. Anyone know if the rear panel do indeed connected or can afffect the head light?

Thanks!

SC

It's the damn ballast not the ignitors or the bulbs. I've had the same problem with OEM ballast. Since my car was out of warranty I opened the ballast and saw that the wires had very poor contact with the board. Due to head the solder melts away. So I resoldered all the contact and wolla, no more flickering. Try it. If you car is under warranty have the dealer swap out the ballast.
