E65 Owners, I Need Your Advice: WHEELS

I have a 06' 750LI, black with tan interior.

The car is totally stock, but the wife is buggin me on getting new wheels for the car. She is the only one who really drives it, and she wants 22" wheels.

I'm worried that it will mess up the day to day utility of the car by going too big. I don't want to worry about getting rims bent and worried about every single pothole.

For you E65 guys who have aftermarket wheels, mostly guys with 22", how has it been for you? Easy to bend? Was it worth it to you, or would you have gone smaller like 21"?

You do realize she's cheating on you with a rapper, right?

That said, 22's aren't that big on the 7, however I'd go with 21's. By stock, do you mean the 18's or 19's?

We bought it for her mostly, it's her daily driver. I work from home and she is an attorney, so she gets the car.

That's just to big for that car seriously maybe 20" tops. Something from DPE or iForged would do wonders on the car.

A rapper? He should pay for them instead of me

The wheels are stock 19 x 9 with 245/45R19 tires.

If she wants to keep it "classy" and baller at the same time go for either:

Alpina (22's)
AC Schnitzer Type 3 (22's)
Hamann HM2's or PG2-3 (22's)
Hartge Classics (22's)

Thanks for all the replies guys, I appreciate it.

I showed her the OEM 21" wheels and she may go for those instead. But I think 21" is where we should go, just that bit more of tire to protect the rim.

I think the best choice of an OEM(ish) wheel is the Alpina's..

Those Alpina wheels are the weakest point of the car in my opinion... oh well, if you like them each to their own!

I can imagine those ACS type 3's costing about as much as the car itself
